Hello! My name is Sarah Smith, and I am so pleased that you stopped by my site. Allow me to tell you a bit about myself, and why I'd love to help you with your project.
I've been writing since I was a little girl, and I've always been passionate about it. I wrote my first story when I was four years old, and entered my first writing competition when I was 10. I still have the savings bond that I won as a prize.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Utah. While I was studying, my main emphasis was on rhetoric and composition, with a secondary emphasis on English and French literature. It was during college that I fell in love with the actual craft of writing. While I had always enjoyed putting my thoughts onto paper, I learned that writing was truly my calling once I began studying the art of making words flow seamlessly from the page to the mind.
I have worked as a technical writer for the past seven years. I specialize in obtaining dense, technical information from Subject Matter Experts, which I then turn into useful documents that will make sense to less technical readers, all without making it so simple as to lose its meaning. I have developed the ability to learn quickly and write about subjects of which I know little, so you can be confident that no matter what your project covers, I'll be able to handle the material.
One of the occupational hazards of working as a writer (especially with an English degree) is that people will often ask for my help with writing projects. For the past 10 years I have helped countless people write resumes, cover letters, proposals, letters to the editor, and more. I love the work and am very good at it, so I decided to start my own business. Thus, WordSmith was born! When you work with me, you can be assured that you're working with someone who has a broad range of experience in writing different types of documents. I am thrilled to be able to put that experience to use for you.
I am located in the Salt Lake City area, where I live with my amazing husband and two adorable dogs. I am available to meet locally, should you wish, or I am happy to conduct all our business via e-mail. The choice is yours.
Thank you again for stopping by. I am looking forward to working with you!
